If you use Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge...

do you use loose powder over it?
I alternate between a powder blusher and BB PR.
I quite like the PR but it doesn't last very long compared to powder blusher, and it is also very "glowy".
Almost too shiny.
I don't have oily skin (I am 50s) but have very good unlined normal skin.

No, I don't. I don't feel its too shiny on my oily skin - I do use pressed powder before putting it on though to fix my foundation - I think this absorbs some of the moisture from the rouge.

I bought this and gave it away after a few uses. It completely disappeared within an hour and nothing I did seemed to help. I dont have very oily skin on my cheeks at all, I just found it hopeless! Sorry, not very helpful am I?

well that is quite helpful really Gilly- it confirms what I thought.

I find it goes patchy. Or maybe that's where I touch my face and some of it rubs off!

I am finding it makes a nice lippie under a pale-ish gloss so maybe I'll use it up that way!

It's also easier to carry than a blusher/brush compact so again- maybe I will keep it for when I am out for the day.

I find the trick is to rub it in really well, and not to use moisturiser before, which makes it 'stick'.

I have a limited edition one in 'pink raspberry' and I use it everyday! I love it - but i learnt very quickly not to use it over foundation, just on bare skin... so what I do now is use my Becca illuminator on cheekbones and then pot-rouge over that, and only use foundation around nose, chin and forehead...

I have skin that leans towards oily rather than dry.

Knitknack - that's a useful tip. I love the Becca illuminator.

I'm of an age where only full slap will do.

I have a few of these and really love them!!
I use either a foundation ( for evening) or the Bobby Brown tint. I use a bit of powder on the T zone and use a foundation brush to put the make up on.

They are great on the lips as well.
Fantastic product.

I use it without any probs.
I put it on over the top of foundation and powder and I use it every day.
I find it stays put. x

I use pot rouge as well and it disappears on me as well... i love it when it goes on but as you say doesn't last.
