I wear mini skirts on the basis that my legs are my only remaining good feature and I'm going to show them off regardless of age. At least for now.
I have long hair, but I tend to wear it up most of the time. I think wearing it down is fine.
I am never knowingly without a fair bit of slap.
And the rest - yes, of course, if that's what you want to do. There's a lot to be said for denial :o.

I'm 40 and have long hair, it'd look a frizzy mess if I tried the short chic look. Shame as it'd suit my face, and I'd like a change, but long suits my hair + luckily my face.

I can't wear high heels due to a physical problem, but if you can why not? I'd love to wear silly, pretty, high heeled shoes. I'm in the situation where winter is great for me with a wide selection of long flat boots. Summer comes and I'm I can't even get away with ballet pumps.

Long hair great as long as in good condition and styled. So that's no to scraggy pony tail

sort you hair out and it's a yes to all. you don't need to spend a fortune to keep it in good condition. have it cut in a style that doesn't have you back at the hairdressers every four weeks, so no fringe. rinse once a week in white vinegar and cold water as often as you can stand it. have it coloured in a shade that is as close to your natural colour as possible to avoid terrible dark regrowth. if your natural colour is grey and you don't want to go that light, use home hair colours but again, be sensitive to your skin tone.

The age rules are stupid because they are a line in the sand which may be nonsense for any individual woman.

I have longish hair but it is very well cut and coloured every three to four weeks and is layered so not 'hard'. I tried having it short. Didn't suit me at all.

I do all of those and am 45.Only do short shirts occasionally although I have good legs I think they can look cheap!Although I don't mind short jumper dresses
