I am desperate to get a daytime dress for the autumn/winter.

I have seen these 2 dresses which I like (haven't tried on yet).

I have brown or black biker boots, a black velvet jacket, black leather jacket, a bronzey velvet coat, a light denim jacket. Various longer line cardis. But not averse to a new purchase.

or should I continue my search?

I think these dresses are lovely. They can look very stylish layered with your various cardis, jackets, thick tights, boots etc. My concern would be whether you are ever going to be warm enough in them. Personally, I tend to buy knitted dresses for winter, but I feel the cold.

I prefer this colour to this one for winter.

Really nice dresses! :)

I would wear long sleeved scoop neck T under, and then thick ribbed tights the same colour as the long sleeved T.

If u are feeling adventerous, wear opaque tights and over the knee chunky knit socks.

If u are feeling really cold, layer 2 long sleeved Ts under the dress.

Jacket-wise, wear something that 'hugs'.

You could wear a long-line cashmere cardigan done up over the praline dress, with a good uplifting bra and a hint of cleavage underneath. Plus some suede mid-heel knee length boots. Small bag in contrasting colour.

Thanks girls. I just thought the blue (since it was in the sale) with the denim jacket.

Could I wear black boots with the praline or stick with my brown boots?
