Ever buy in duplicate?

And did you regret or love that decision?

Basically, what I mean is when you have something you really like, do you ever want two or more just in case the first wears out?

I've often wanted to do this with much loved shoes, but never have.

And generally I don't think it's a good use of money to buy clothes smaller than you are (in case you don't get there), but I've recently had a baby and am tempted to buy a pair of treggings I really like now in the next size down so that when the next bit of baby weight goes off I can still wear them. Not sure if I'm being silly/tempting fate.

ie I already have one pair of the treggings in question (One, I really need to preview posts; two, treggings is such an ugly name for clothes) and am thinking of buying a second.

yes i buy boots one black and one brown and often get a great dress in all colour options - also rebuy things from ebay that have worn out or are going that way... completely the right decision as not terribly fashionable and have looked the same for 10 years or so.... Hmm

and wtf is a tregging???? GGid I am so behind the times

Just trousery leggings, like jeggings. Ugh.

Thing is, as I've still got a post-birth/c-section tummy, anything with an elasticated waist is an absolute godsend for me at the moment, so I'm embracing them warmly.

I recently bought the duplicate of a dress on ebay as my one was a bit bobbly and I love it so - was only 15 quid so thought was a bargain.

Have 3 of the same dresses from M&S - jersey ones in different colours and have quite a few pairs of shoes that are the same but just different colours.

DH can't understand the logic!

I just bought a lovely red dress from Laura Ashley as am due back to work after nearly a year off on mat leave. I have lost over 3 stone and have nothing much that fits any more. www.lauraashley.com/dresses/cap-sleeve-jersey-dress/invt/md685redp/
When I realised they had a sale I took the dress back the next day and re bought it saving £20 and got a grey one too.

Yes. I do this! I'm glad I'm not alone.

Last year I bought two pairs of these boots. One for dog walking which I didn't mind getting muddy and then the other pair for general wearing to the shops as they were so comfortable for walking in. I've just bought another pair the same and will use last years "good pair" for doggy walks.

Also bought a long cowl neck top in Dorothy Perkins the other day and bought in two colours, black and pink. I'm going back to buy another in the black as I know it'll get most wear.

I have two coats the same aswell. One red and one in yellow and probably six pairs of the same pale gold ballet pumps and I always multi-buy jeans when I find a cut and colour I like.

I do wonder if my neighbours think I'm always wearing the same clothes.

I have t-shirts from the Limited Collection at M&S in black and white both long-sleeved and black and white both short sleeved. I keep meaning to get a few more as they wash well.

If I find a nice fitting top with long enough arms I often buy it in several colours.

I recently bought a top in French Connection that I loved so much I bought it in the other colourway which is the same colour top with a different colour stripe on the sleeves.

I have never done it with shoes but should really as things like ballet pumps look shabby so quickly I should stock up when I find ones I like.

All the time with t-shirts.

I once bought a second pair of my favourite sandals, but they were too small.Confused Imust have stretched the leather of the original pair with my fat pregnancy feet.
