Breastfeeding bras in York/ Leeds?

I would rather York!! Maybe Wetherby???

I want some really nice bras...

The shop on the Shambles has closed down, Leia in York has only polyester ones (would rather higher cotton count) and they are dark animal print (no good for light coloured tops).

I want somewhere that measures well!!!

Thanks - am drawing a blank!!

Browns or Fenwicks? >

Fenwicks don't... Browns do, but when I went for a ffitting for a pregnancy bra, the fitting was so bad that I ended up never wearing it (too tight - she insisted it needed to be... - and certainly no growing room). Could have been the lady who did it though, but it put me off...

There is a maternity shop on that road...oh what's it's name? The one with the 2 toy shops that sell mostly wooden toys, and there is a funky modern type shop selling house stuff. Expensive stereo shop at the end of the road, and a Mary Shortle just around the corner.

They sell some.

I am trying to picture where you mean? The only Mary Shortle shop I know is at Monk Bar. Next to a cycle shop called Bob Trotters.

Do you mean where the wine bars are on those cobbledy streets - is it Grape Lane?

Expecting! That's it. I bought some there, but it was a good while ago. Might be worth ringing before you go.

Check out Bravissimo in the Victoria Quarter in Leeds. You can see the catalogue online to see if they have anything you fancy. You can also pre book a fitting appt and the changing rooms are quite swanky.

I've had all my stuff from them for years and they have been unfailingly fabulous. Good luck.

I speak as one who is 33 weeks and just grown out of a 36 FF!

Harrogate? I know jojo maman bebe do fitting and sell the Elle Macpherson ones and a few others. there are also a couple of small lingerie shops, I haven't tried it yet but there's one out the back of M&S that always has people waiting to be measured, and they advertise as selling maternity and breastfeeding.

Agent provocateur do breastfeeding bras now too, there's one in Leeds.

I got some in Harrogate M+S.
Once I knew what size I was, I also found some Elle Macpherson ones in TKMaxx but I don't suppose they'll have them all the time.

Fit to Bust in Chapel Allerton Leeds or Fit to Bust 2 in Harrogate - you wont regret a penny spent...

Kathryn Rolfe on Mickelgate is the place. She used to manage Rigby and Pellers and can measure your bust with her eyes alone. She is fab, and has a decent range Inc Hot Milk nursing bras.

Is expensive but worth it.

She's at the top end near Mickelgate Bar and near the Blakeshead bookshop

Thanks

I'm going to try Kathryn Rolfe first (she's nearest the parking and I'm not walking well now!), then try Expecting and go from there.

Another vote for the lovely kathryn! The stuff is £££s but it is good quality and will last and last if you look after it. She is not pushy either. It isn't really a browsing type shop as most of the stock is in drawers etc. She just expects to fit all her customers. Really nice to have such a service on my doorstep Grin.

Kathy is lovely.
Let us know how you get on.
After being measured properly it's a lot easier to buy well fitting stuff at slightly cheaper shops.
