Maybe it's just my dad's (medical) influence - but I hate the heels.

It's a bit like that photo of Suri Cruise that you see, with her all dressed up in a grown up dress and heels.

My DD is 4, and these would fit her, and I class her as a little girl until at least 6 or 7....

Utterly gross and I'd be at my most judgeyist should I actually see them on a real life child!

I really have seen worse. Although they are far too grown up for that age group.

I can't bare to see some of the clothes in shops now. I took my daughter to get some clothes yesterday (nearly 4yrs) and everything was designed for women but had just been shrunk. Leggins with long floaty tops which actually gave the illusion of curves! Who designs these things?! I'm only 26 and i'm already so bitter.

Well this was Next actually. I love it for me. Most of my wardrobe is from next. Don't get me wrong some of the childrens struff is ok, but they had really short ruffled skirts, with sequins. The kind i would have worn when I was 16 on a saturday night!! It's just so creepy. It's not difficult is it to seperate women and childrens styles.
They should be bloody seperated!!!

Hmm - my 8y DD wears loads of leggings/jeggings with floaty floral tunic tops, etc. Infact we went and got a whole load of stuff from Next a week or two ago. It all looks very pretty and not at all adult like.

I don't do the heels for childen though - really don't like it. DD has had two pairs of heels so far in her life. Firt pair at 4yo and they were silver ballroom dance shoes for the dance class she went too. Second was earlier this year, aged 8y, and they were the same style siver ballroom shoes - this time worn for being a bridesmaid.

I didn't say that a basic long floaty top with leggins created the illusion of curves I said that some of the floaty tops are designed that way. Not all. My DD also has those but there not the same as the ones i'm talking about.

Really? Wouldnt buy my little girl (4) the boots as they have a heel. If they were flat, I think they would look lovely with jeggings and a little tunic/jumper dress.
She also LOVES the sparkly heels in Brantanos, but she is only allowed to try them on and dance in the shop, then we put them back

Saw a baby in Jeggings today, proper jeggings. utterly utterly awful.

And some stupid bling hairclip on her head, I can't say in her hair, because she doesn't have any yet, but her mum still felt she needed a diamante hair clip - god knows how she attached it...

monkeyfacegrace - thats what i let my dd (4) do, we got to brantano as its on a retail estate with several other stores, we go in she tries them on walks around in them a bit and then we put them back. i did give in an buy lelli kelly's though but at least they are flat.

FWIW my 3.2yo DD does have jeggings, as my friend's mum bought her a load of M&S clothes for her birthday - they were in a set with a pair of normal leggings so I think she just thought of them with trousers! at first I thought but they do actually look nice, and not at all too-grown-up.
