Garden party - need dress - help!

I'm a size 16 and slightly larger bottom half than top half.

Height 5'9.

Pale skin, chestnut long hair.

Age 36.

I can't expose my back due to a skin condition.

I like to look a little different (but not OTT).

I haven't bought a dress for about 15 years but I would love to find one I feel amazing in.

Budget £50 max.

Help!

I am LOVING the ASOS dress.

At you height you could pull off maxi -perhaps with wedges for added omph?!

Will have a look.

lovely - but might show off too much back?

Vivien of Holloway - tea dress

or one of the 50s halternecks

Both of which very flattering on a curvy figure.

Thanks everyone.

LOVE the very first one chocolatefroggie but they don't have a size 16! Am now contemplating whether I can drop a dress size in 4 weeks ... ! Although looking at the back view, it might be not too flattering on my big square-ish hips?

Also love the ASOS, just wish it was a bit cheaper.

Ewe the Vivien of Holloway halternecks are gorgeous but would definitely show my back. The tea dress might be a bit frumpy on me? I would have to try one on I think. Also pricey.

notyummy I like both your choices but they are perhaps a bit more evening-wear than I'm looking for.

More please!

Pink dress nice; you need spanx or M and S own very good here. Tough to get into but does the job...
