DP struggling...

Long to avoid drip-feeding!

DP is struggling with my 3DC who are 9,7 and 4. He and I have been together for quite a long time and are in the process of buying a house together. The DC also have a very uninterested Dad and a step mum.

The main thing he is finding hard is the monotony of telling them off for the same things when he looks after them by himself while I'm at work, which he usually does once a week. When I get home from work he is a frazzled mess. He tries really hard with them, takes them on so many fun days out and is totally calm and never shouty with them.

I'm not sure how to help him with this, he is doing everything right from my point of view, it just takes time to get used to children!

How long have you been together, fair play, it must be pretty hard to have gone from no kids to 3 under 10! If he's doing his best you can only praise him and thank him for his patience....and hope as time goes by he'll a) get more used to it, and b) the kids will be less hard work as they get older!
