Step parent adoption, child interview

Hi, my DD is 9 and my DH has been in her life for 4 years, we are married and have a toddler, dd hasnt seen bio father since she was 2, he lives locally I think although I'm unsure where. I have spoken to the local step parent adoption lady who was very nice and explained it all too me, the only thing I'm concerned about is the time spent alone with my daughter, like and interview to make sure she wants the adoption, she does and is the one who keeps asking for daddy to adopt her.
What do they ask? She's quite a sensitive child and I'm worried it will upset her.
