To all my fellow SMs on the SP board.......

I am bowing out of being a step mum - DP and I split a couple of weeks ago, and now it's back to being a lone parent with my DCs. A very sad decision to have made, but definitely for the best.

I wanted to say thank you to all those of you that have talked to me in my various guises over the last few years whilst I've been a step mum. I've only been Shoppingfrenzy for a month or two, and used other names before that. Can't say which, as my ex DP worked out who I am, and has read some of my posts.... In particular, I'd like to thank NotaDisneyMum (not sure what you're called now, or if you're still here!), Brdgrl and catsmother, who always offer really sound, good advice.

Good luck, all you lovely SMs out there. It's such a hard difficult road, and I really admire all those of you who manage to do it with such good grace and generosity. I tried my best, but it was not to be.

Oh, shopping, I am sorry to hear that. I know you tried to make it work! I hope you're able to just enjoy 'uncomplicated' time with your DCs now and wish you all the best.

Awww, thank you for thanking me - glad my wittering on has helped in some small way.

Am sorry it's come to this, and of course it's sad, but if it's for the best then long term you're doing the right thing and you've given it your best shot. Really hope things work out for you going forwards.
