DP has actually stated that, yes, I have made a huge impact on his, (lack off), parenting, and he can see over the last few years, being his daughters best mate / mini boyfriend, would not benefit her as she approached teendom.

I still find her entitled, rude and obtrusive but, I am slowly re- attaching.

DPs decision to actually parent has made it so much easier.
