I think the hour's wait in the baby's case is for vomit avoidance.

We've always been told to wait an hour. Having said that, I've sometimes given a bf within half an hour (but would have preferred not to).

Early snack then breakfast after the swim?

she musthave her breakfast befoe she goes, and you should take a snack for whe she gets out.

the not eating thing i thik was in case you got cramp when out of your depth. that's not going to happen with a 17 month old!smile

Dh wants to take ds (17 months) to swimming classes. The class starts at 8am - should we give ds breakfast beforehand? Haven't been swimming for years but vaguely remember something about not eating just before you swim...? Ds is always ravenous in the mornings so not sure how to do it. Dh not keen on getting up at 6 to feed him.
