I am totally new to this forum :) but my daughter is 12 has Asperger's/high functioning autism... She has been diagnosed since she was 4. We are from the states as I am here working on my graduate studies, but I am having some difficulties with her.... And she is doing some really odd stuff as well. (Obsessed with YouTube, won't socialize, bathing is a huge issue, eatting us out of house and home.... She is skinny as a rail, massive mood swings... Last weekend she needed a padded room I swear... Excessive sleeping mainly due to her refusing to go to bed, general conversation akward mess... ) I am thinking about getting her reevaluated as well. She is also a toe walker.... Just a bit stumped about what to do. A trip to the GP? I am a single mum and have another child with ADHD.... She is easy compared to my 12 year old....Thank you in advance. Andy :)

My daughter is 12. She has dyspraxia and asd she's also obsessed with Five Nights At Freddy's both playing, watching on You Tube or both and walks on her toes. She needs to be told to have a bath or go to bed, Melatonin helps or she wouldn't sleep. Socialising is difficult and hormones are making it even harder. She struggles with normal friendships and one of her best Friends, both boys she's starting to get stronger feelings for and she doesn't know how to handle them.

I know I won't be the first parent to deal with this and could really do with some advice as well.
Thanks for the thread Andy was just about to start one myself!

Hi shannaratiger i have an almost 11 year old who is obsessed with five nights at freddy's and she is wondering if your daughter would like to get in touch as my dd also has asd and finds social situations awkward and would love to have a friend who is obsessed about fnaf as she isSmile

Problem is Dd only has a tablet. She really wants to know what your Dd's favourite character is.

Thats ok i do have an email address that my daughter can use but i had better tell you about me in case you think i'm a nutter lol my dd was diagnosed with asd and features of adhd in september last year which took a year to diagnose good old camhs. Dd gets obssesed with things like fnaf, finds it hard to keep friendships and has to be prompted to take a bath bless her also my other dd who's 5 has been referred to camhs for possible asd too and microcephaly has been mentioned aswell so its all go here but its nice to chat to another parent of a child with asd and dd says Springtrap is her favourite fnaf character:)
