I don't post much about my dd as I don't seem to have many issues with her, so due to this I don't really know much about how this is for her. I know it's no excuse though I do have a few kids with sen, one very complex.
Obviously my dd(13) mainstream, has problems with attention. In her parents evening this year it was much better than last year. I think this is due to printing on blue paper, she wears blue lens glasses. She has also been given putty to fiddle with and a few other small things put in place.
The main issues this year is with getting thoughts from her head and relaying them to paper. Problem with focusing on one keyword and using this repetitivly even in the same sentence. Then time management, such as finishing a sheet of Q's.
Her school changed the system this year, they have started GCSE's in Y9, so come May she will be getting exams.
Any help. tips etc welcome TIA x

How is she with using a keyboard rather than paper? There are lots of different software packages that can be a lot easier to use. DS can't get thoughts out of his brain onto paper at all, so for exams he has 25% extra time, use of a laptop and a room by himself so he's not distracted by noise etc and can move around if he needs to. It seems to have really helped.
