Connors rating scale

DD has a date for her paediatric assessment. The Ed Psych thinks that she has ASD. I have been sent the "Connnors rating scale" questionaire to complete, also her school teacher is also to complete it, but this seems to be more about ADD/ADHD, rather than ASD, or maybe I am wrong.

Anyone know about the Connors Rating Scale and what it is all about?

The connors rating scale I have heard about it for ADHD .... maybe they are able to cross ref and use it as a basis to dx ASD?. I would double check you have the correct forms. Good luck

we were given it to check for ADHD - tho TBH we really didnt need the checklist, it couldnt have been more blatantly obvious... but i digress - Yes, absolutely the test is for ADHD, but dont know if its used for ASD too.

Perhaps you should have been given the 'CARS' test, or 'CHAT' (or modified CHAT) instead?

Perhaps they're just being thorough. There's quite a crossover of symptoms with ADHD and AS so they might want to do both sets of tests at the same time, to rule out one or the other or maybe even to come up with a dual dx. I'd ask at your next appointment, and check that they're going to do ADOS or some other ASD specific test as well.
