DS (7.9) attends the Language Unit at his present school, however they can no longer keep his place safe as he no longer has language issues, he has AS too. So the school are trying to get him a place in an Autistic Centre opening in January in another school at the other end of town as he wont cope in mainstream at his present school. The problem is the times of both schools are very similair, even if I can get ds transport through the council, he will finish at 3.20pm each day, dts will finish at 3.25, so its highly unlikely I will be home before transport are back with ds. DTS started reception in Jnauary and are finally settled so I dont want to uproot them too. Anyone have any bright ideas on how I can make this work?

The alternative would be to get transport to drop ds at dts school (they say they cannot do this but we have an arrangement once a week with the schooltaxi to drop at the local school club). However this would probably mean waiting for the car! Ds transport can be quite variable in what time they arrive (and pick up) so the morning may be an issue too.
