My friend works with a child with a hearing impairment - the child has hearing aids in both ears and has limited speach. The child is lovely I nanny for her friends and spend a lot of time with her.

We (friend, friends boss, and I) are currently trying to come up with a game plan to promote positive behaviour as she gets frustrated and lashes out

How do you deal with promoting behaviour when the child is obviously frustrated at not being understood?

Hi my son is deaf and has behavioural problems. My suggestions would be consistency and sticking to your guns and boundaries.
Why dont you post on Parent Place too? Its on the NDCS there are lots of parents on there who can advise you.
