While we're talking about the things they never tell you about that you're entitled to (and as it's freezing out there tonight!):

If you're receiving DLA (or on a low income)you should also be able to get this warm front grant for better insulation and heating, whether you're in rented or owner-occupied housing.

I can vouch for this first hand as I had my loft insulation down through a warm front grant just a month ago, they even fitted a new loft hatch in my rear loft (we have two) as the original one was tiny and too small to fit the rolls of insulation through.

Only thing I will say is that you must be on a low income or be claiming DLA yourself, as my SIL tried to claim a grant after I told her about it and got turnt down, even tho her DS gets middle rate DLA.

Because her DH works and it is her DS and not her or her DH that claims the DLA, they were not entitled.

Worth applying for though if you think you will be entitled and as well as loft insulation they also do cavity wall insulation, draft excluding and central heating if you don't have it.
