We have done a far bit and I have to say it seems to be having some positive effects. Ds's pencil control is a little better, even he can see the improvemnets he is making, and most importantly he is no longer viewing pencils and papers as the 'work of Satan', and something to be avoided at all costs!

Start where you think your child needs to start. Theres no real hard and fast rules I dont think.

It's been pretty much ignored so far (too all the materials into school to be copied and used) but now it's on his IEP, which I've just seen, so we will have to see what happens! It is another thing to add to my list of 'things to nag the school about in a polite and positive way'
Glad it's wrorking for you MB. Ds likes writing, oddly enough, made us a poster and tickets for our saturday morning living room showing of The Black Cauldron! It's just totally illegible!
