i know i am but on Friday dd,s nursery said that she can go full time from this week.

We have been waiting over 6 months for this and dd has been doing so well since she started there a year ago but i cant stop crying when i think of it.

I feel that she should be at home with me and that i should be looking after her, cos she,s only 2.9 and my baby.

Tell me im being stupid, the nursery is brill its an ICAN centre and has SALT and most of the professionals involved with her go in to the nursery to see her.

Im a big old softie

I can relate. C went off today for her first morning at the special school. She's 2 and 10 months and will be doing 2 mornings a week. I flet like I was abandoning her even though her dad went with her!
She's so little, her CP is so severe and she's blind. How on earth will she understand!
I need the break but i had a good cry when she went off in the taxi. My baby.

thanks lourobert

bobalinga- my dd has CP also, albeit hemiplegia so she is not severe but she also has Autism and she is so tiny as well, she,s 3 in April but only looks like a 1.5 toddler and she,s still very babylike.

DH has just set off to bring her back and i cant wait, ive missed her so much!!!

Same here as well, my DD started Special needs nursery when she was 2.7, she was very small as well, me and hubby cried bucket loads.
For the first year we took and fetched her even though it is a 26 mile round trip as I hated to 'let her go'. She started in the taxi last year and we both cried bucket loads.

She has to leave this year as it is a Nursery and she has to move to another school and we are crying bucket loads as we don't want her to leave!!!!

I feel it bad cos my other 3 are home educated. While I was pregnant I never imagined I'd be sending her to school :-(
But I can't deal with all the special equipment, the lifting, the blindness ert. I just wouldn't know how to home educate and help her.
But I feel like I'm betraying my principles and turning her over to a cruel system! Waaaaaaaaaaah

Apparently she had a tantrum every time the taxi had to stop at a light. She really hates travelling in vehicles.

It went really well
She told me that a certain boy was naughty and that he hit her on her belly -but she always says that, she has done for the last 3 months, apparantly this boy brushed past her and she cant forget it LOL, she also says that the nursery teachers smack naughty children but again she has echolalia and just repeats things that she has heard!!!!!

( i did tell them about 3 months ago that she was telling us these things and they were horrified)

Tonight she said to me "time to go sleep babes" and i said who says that to R? and she told me the name of her keyworker, i thought that was really cute!!!!
She was full of paint and glue and i think she,s had a wonderful time, but me, ive moped around the house saying "i want my baby" all day!!!!!!

DS has loved it cos she bugs him, they dont really play together both having ASD and it was nice to have some time with him (although i was forced to watch sonic hedgehog game LOL)

But on the whole it was nice

Just need to get DS back into school and i will have all day to myself!!!!
