Just thought I would tell you as no one else will ever care, register what this means, share my happy ness for the money for a adapted buggy mixed with extreme sadness he even needs it. He should be walking, holding my hand and chatting out Thomas the tank and his teddie. But he's screaming, running off and almost getting run over on the days I dare to try those things.

That's all

Yeah!

It all helps, doesn't it? Sounds like he has got sensory overload when you are out. I carried DS2 for 18 months longer than other kids. In hindsight that was our coping mechanism. The buggy will help you get out more and identify the places you can go to and be OK. Summer is coming!

Get what you mean. Hope this opens new chapters for you though, and brings opportunities you don't currently have.

Well done. I know how hard filling in those DLA forms is. Hope it makes your lives a little less stressful.

Big cheers and hugs...

Ds2s was renewed last month..(well til PIP finally arrives here) and they listed why he is entitled to his DLA..and we are grateful for it but even after all these years (he's nearly 18) it still wrenches. I'd not have it in a heart beat, to have him about to do A levels and off to uni, falling in love, learning to drive etc...

On a side note.. there are better buggies out there than Maclaren Majors..have a look at Convaids (very robust..we had one) or Alvema make !

yeah, sort of great you got throught the system, and oh shit, you got it through the system... because that means...

ds gets some dla. odd how it sends your emotions on a roller coaster ride, what with filling in the form and having to put down the worst days.. doing the same for dd and she is supposed to be my good child.
