OUr appointment is at 10.30 where we go in front of the panel.

DT2 currently recieves low rate but we say should be middke- i think not sure on all this still, met with the man from the advice shop today who is representing us and he said he is pushing for high rate

thanks everyone

does anyone have any experiences on this?

I have made a 2 week diary too off Josh's life and what his day entails. You take it for granted as a parent and just do it bt when you see it all written down wow its loads!!!!

Good luck on friday.

Just take a deep breath and remember that they are independent of the DWP. They've seen some of the crap decisions that they've made in the past and will listen to your case fairly.

I think (sorry bit vague) that at our appeal they asked the DWP guy to speak first. They might not even show at your appeal - they don't always. He said his piece on why we had been awarded low rate and then they allowed me to argue each point. We also went throught the diary - at the part when he said that dd only needed about 1 hours extra care each day.

It'll be fine. Go get 'em!

Btw has anyone told you about the SN board's rule that if/when you win a DLA appeal you have to buy drinks for us all?

Bah! It was worth a try.

it was a bit scary, was really really nervous.

They were quite nice though, the doctor was lovely.

I took a 10 day diary with me which I don't even think they looked at after the discussion we had.

I am glad they have now recognised he needs more than an hours care per day but to get high rate wow I was stunned
