Letter from DLA (confused??)

just got a letter through for dd2 DLA. they have awarded high rate care from 28/3/06 to the 17/5/06. so a 6 weeks period. which brings her to the date her original award would've ended. so i called them up, and they dont have any further information. but the person dealing with the 2nd reconsidation before appeal (which we asked for, already done a recon back in april) has decided that her original award shouldn't have stopped.

but i want to know if she has a new award or not, and what rate. so someone should call me back later today.

btw they came to this decision within 4 days.

just re-read the letter, they say they will send a further letter about her award. davrios theory says it will turn up on saturday.

they are a law unto themselves.

dh is really struggling to understand dd2 speech now he is home.

It sounds very strange. My guess is that when it went to the second reconsideration they handed the case over to someone else to look at and they've realised that someone's made a huge c*ck-up somewhere. It sounds as though they're now trying to put things right.

she was in 2hours for 2 days a week.

am just getting 'further evidence' again for appeal.

spoke to dla today, apparently the original claim should not have ended early, hence the 6 weeks payment they have paid us.
