and was treated to half an hour of spongebob toys, an episode-which he dult watched! and all DS spongebob paraphenalia Grin

He said DS IS AS, and has told us that in his opinion not to put him back into school until they are prepared to provide him with help, he told us to use his name as authority, he is going to help me draft a letter to send them.

He said that putting DS back into school with no support will start all his problems up again and that he does need support, he needs support to provide him with more work as he is very bright and needs stimulation, he will only get this with a statement and that is what we should be aiming for.
He thinks its disgusting that DS is only getting 2 hours of home tuition a week-i thought that was good just shows how much i know!!!

We told him that the clinical psych wont accept what he says and he said that doesnt worry him as he knows how to handle them and that they do know that they have to accept his opinion.

Its all starting again, think i need to go and lie down..............

Poor old you Jenk, it must be bittersweet news for you, you seem to get so many different answers. It is hard when you get an dx that not everyone agrees with, as you end up not knowing who to believe. I know as we are in pretty much the same boat. Clinical Psych said PDA, psychiatrist says Autism. At the very least, he seems to have your little ones best interest at heart, and that has to be a bonus. Hope it all comes right for you Jenk.

Spoke to IPSEA today and the chap advised me as well not to put DS back into school without a proper support package in place.
He says that the LEA have shot themselves in the foot as in the letter we received yesterday it says that they (SEN) will participate when DS is regularly attending school Shock

He said thats disgusting, its like emotional blackmail.
Also DS can ask his peers for help if needed What!!!

So both specialist and IPSEA are in agreement so we have to write to LEA as they are planning to reintegrate DS after easter.
He also said its disgusting that they are only offering DS 2 hours of home tuition a week considering how long he,s been out of school, apparantely EP,s can do home visits DS doesnt have to be in school for them to do that.

Dont the LEA tell such lies?
When i think back now to the meeting, i sat and listened while they decided what was best for DS, as i dont always understand things straightaway, its a good job we have IPSEA and a good psych on board now.
