hi, i dont know the answer - mine has until 31st october - halloween to respond - they are going to see my school next week on the 11th oct

it is frustrating that they havent responded - have you contacted the tribunal to see what they advise? im guessing that the visit may have something to do with it but thats a lengthy delay and they should let you know - not to respond is not good. i know they can be struck out by the tribunal - you need to speak to teh tribunal for advice

bjkmummy Just spoken to solicitor and LA have finally responded . They are saying the SS we want is over subscribed and that the local MS may be able to meet her needs and are putting a package together rather chew my arm off. They have not taken into account she can't cope in busy situations e.t.c. They put in her statement no school name just " to be reviewed in the future "
starlight yes it's a state SS . I just wondered if the headteacher from the SS you are wanting named usually goes to assess your DC ?
It's all a bit neither here or there !

Will this HT back you?

Tbh, I'd be looking at independent SS and getting THEIR HT in to assess your child too.

starlight am not sure really if HT will back us , if it's who i met she may try to . Nobody has said DD does not need SS just that they are oversubscribed . Just quickly searched for independent SS and only 2 in Norfolk and they don't take in until ages 6 or 8 and DD is 4 1/2 .
That again is the escape clause for the LA isn't it as DD does not legally have to be in school until term after 5th birthday which is next May .
