I've had a look at the archives and have seen that this has had a pretty negative press on MN in the past. Has anyone tried it? I only ask because I sat next to a woman at Sing and Sign this morning whose husband is a Son-Rise consultant - she gave me the details of the website, which I've looked at, but it's all about what happens in the US. From what I can gather it sounds a bit like floortime, which we do as part of DS2's programme - enter into child's world, follow his lead etc. I don't join him in his repetitive behaviours/stims though - I tried a couple of times and it seemed to make him more agitated! (Probably wondering what the hell I'm doing...)
Any experience out there?

No experience but saw a book on this at our library. Perhaps have a read first before committing further. I can't remember the author's name but it was written by someone who'd been diagnosed with autism and by his parents.

I would recommend having a look at RDI (relationship development intervention) if you were thinking of embarking on a new "therapy".
