My 10 year old DD was diagnosed with dyslexia just before the summer. One of her issues is skipping lines when reading. She now uses a coloured reading ruler and this has made a big difference to her reading.
However, her teacher's strategy when doing comprehensions is to underline unusual words or bits of texts that may be important. Obviously DD can do this because if she moves the reading ruler to mark a word she will loose her place. Has anyone got any other strategies we could try?
