Global delay in 14 mo

DD2 is 14 mo and the paediatrician said she presents more like 8-9 MO. She isn't crawling /walking yet. It could have been due to torticollis. Has anyone had children in this situation? How have they progressed?
Any shared experiences good to hear too.

Is she globally delayed though? You only mention gross motor skills.

My daughter was diagnosed GDD at 10m old but in her case due to a seizure disorder that caused regression. She's progressed well since, crawled at 15m, walked at 19m and is largely caught up at 2. She has a mild language delay and is still behind in gross motor skills as she can't jump, climb steps etc but since she's making progress and has mastered walking I'm confident she'll get there on her own schedule. It's very worrying and I have been massively disappointed with the lack of help offered on the NHS and the enormous waiting lists for everything. We have gone private for a paediatric physio and to a brain injury charity for developmental assessments and exercises. If we had adopted their 'wait and see' attitude I expect we'd be not much further forward.

my son has had gdd throughout too. He has a genetic error and a partially diagnosed disorder. I'd be asking for preliminary genetic testing. are you happy with your paediatrician? what have they suggested?
