SEN tribunal, repeating a year, advice please!

I have a tribunal coming up and would really like some help. I'd like case law, or examples of children with a statement who have repeated a year in a special school and then stayed on an additional year in school beyond age 16. (my son repeated & stayed an extra year in primary) In short I'm concerned that my child will only have 4 senior years and have requested that he repeats year 11 (for a variety of reasons including that he's an August birthday, has an anxiety disorder, SLD & ASD.)

I know from a freedom of information act request that this happened in my local area but no details of reasons.

Would love to hear from anyone with knowledge of this happening.
