DD is 4 next month
She has latent nystagmus basically a non fixable serious vision problem.
She can read with most black on white texts of a pre school book letter size.
she is very bright numerically and so forth
However (she is being statemented atm) she is due to start school in Sept 2007.
She is in montessori pre school and thriving
But we are noticing that she is really struggling with writing.
It's not a pencil control issue.
she cannot see well enough to join up lines even with nice thick felt pens.
I do not want pressure put on her so am not doing anything at all with her as she knows when she cannot do something right and it upsets her as she is a bit of a perfectionist.
I want to know how this would be dealt with in the school environment initially.
has anyone any experience at all?
