Our dd has a full statement, and inclusion has worked on and off, but always seems to hinge on the aptitude/experience of her LSAs. It's very hit amd miss - sometimes they'll advertise and only one person comes forward....turnover is also rapid because they keep hiring inappropriate people.
I heard from a teacher about a mainstream school (sadly another part of the country) where the school insisted that all their LSAs hired to assist statemented children were trained beyond minimum requirements, and were encouraged to keep on training.
Does anybody know of a mainstream primary school under Wokingham LEA that has a similar policy?
Thanks
