anyone not own a pram?

Everyone thinks I'm very odd not to have ever bought one. Partly this was because I moved continent when my DD was 6 months old and didn't want to ship it/be without it if I'd got used it. I also take the train every day and it has thirty steps--another disincentive.

I've carried my now 19 month old with Moby/Girasol German woven thingy/Calin Bleu gauze (wonderful in tropics) and an ergo and a mei tai.

I've carried her for so long (and me/dh do outings all day most days) it seems a little pointless to splash out on a pram (carriers I got a little carried away with so probably spent more than buying a maclaren)

She walks mostly/carried on shoulders but naps in it.

Just wondered if anyone else has made do with carriers. We're both getting funny looks and odd comments because she's so big now.

I gave up on putting extremely reluctant DD in the pram when she was 6 months because I realised that every excursion ended with me pushing an empty pram!

She's now 1.11 and, like Loopy, I do have several sitting around/on loan to friends that I've kept 'just in case'. I'm not saying 'never' but I haven't needed them yet. Using a sling has become a lifestyle, so it's been easier for me to stick with that!

As my sister said, 'no right answer - whatever works '

Most of the comments I hear are 'isn't she heavy/too old?' to which I reply 'keeps me fit and saves me gym fees/she hates the pushchair'. Luckily people leave it at that

Good luck figuring out what's best for you
