Hi,

Could not wait to use the 2.Go sling as soon as baby reached 3 months! Well that was yesterday!

I put her in the sling and out I went to pick up husband from the station (10 minute walk)!

SURPRISE! It is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo heavy and tiring!!!!!! baby is only 6.5 kilos! But it s sooooooo difficult to walk!?

Is it just me?????

I've never used a 2.Go but looking at the pictures it looks similar to an Ergo. My best guess is that you don't have the belt part positioned and/or tightened properly; this style of carrier is designed to distribute much of the baby's weight onto your hips, and if it's not positioned to do that effectively then he'll be hanging from your shoulders with all the weight there instead which will be uncomfortable.

Thank you very much for having taken the time to look into it! I will try and check again. My hips were hurting a lot too!

It IS probably just me. I am just surprised to see mums with slings around walking like it is a breeze! I hardly managed the 10 minute walk!??

It really shouldn't feel uncomfortable at all, especially with such a little one. Is it still uncomfortable? I've not heard of that make of carrier before, a google for photoswww.lilsugar.com/Cybex-2GO-Baby-Carrier-Review-5390352 doesn't inspire me with confidence that it's much good.
Adjusting belts/straps might help a bit, but honestly, if I were you I think I'd get your money back, have a look at slingguide and slingmeet and find something that suits you both better... don't let it put you off babywearing, there are better carriers out there

Thanks Puddock!
I was so disappointed that I would not be able to use it. I really thought it was down to me as I am not the fittest person after being pregnant.

I will check out the links you gave me so kindly and I might find something better maybe, not so chunky.

thanks for your adivse and time.

I have an ERGO and it never ever hurts my back and even my nearly 3 year old still goes in it too from time to time instead!

May have to return your sling and ask for a refund, if not fit for purpose and buy a different one

I've never heard of that sling.
I'm afraid I think it might be an idea to opt for something a bit more tried and tested.
