Sling for hot weather

I've got a hoppediz which has been great so far, although now that we are using the back carrying positions it's a bit tricky. The main problem though is that it's too thick and LO gets too hot as soon as the sun comes out. We are going on holiday to Spain early July, would a Mei Tai be better? or an Ergo type thing?

I have a Babyhawk Mei Tei and am finding it great on hotter days as its so simple - no padding or thick straps. Its also amazingly comfortable and doesn't take up too much room.
