Just curious as dd, aged 5 1/2 seems to have cut her sleep quota this last month from a straight 11 hours to more like 10 hours and I wondered if this was typical at this age. She does seem very tired after school.

11 hrs usually. But he makes up for it at weekends when he lies in until about 9.

Mine sleeps about 12 hours. Bedtime is 6.30-7pm for her as any later and she's grumpy and irritable. Ds1 is 4 and a half and in bed about the same time, he gets tired earlier. Ds2 14 months, whenever we can get him to sleep!

I wonder if I put her to bed a bit earlier, she'd sleep a bit later in the morning? Sounds back to front but it used to work when she was a baby.
