Sleep

is this normal?

ds is 19 weeks and goes to bed at a different time each night. it depends on when he has his last feed which is never the same. he basically feeds every 3 hours throughout the day give or take 15 mins. For example he will have a last feed at 6 pm and then usually go to sleep 1 and a half hours later. he is just not tired until 1 and a half hours (sometimes to the minute!) after feeding. even if he doesn't feed until 7 or 7.30 he is wide awake until 1 and half hours after this. is this normal and how can we get him to sleep a bit sooner after his last feed. I see so many posts on here saying that ds or dd cannot stay awake past 6.30 or 7 but this does not seem to apply to ds! He usually has about 3-4 hours of naps during the day. would be grateful for any advice, thanks!

DS didn't start going to bed at 6/7 until about 15 months. I shouldn't worry

DD used to feed 5-10 until around 6 months! She only started going to bed earlier when she was maybe 10-11 months old, and as Effie says, some go even later. Don't worry!

I think if it ain't broke don't fix it. Some people find a later bed time works better for them. My friend's DD goes to bed at 6.30 and mine goes closer to 7.30 - 8 because she's not tired before that point (they're the same age) Her DD sleeps all night until 7ish. Mine is up and down and wakes for the day bright and breezy at 5.30ish. So what I'm trying to say is that they're all different and if you're all happy and get enough sleep then I wouldn't worry.
