bringing bedtime forward for a 3 and a half year old

My 3.5 DD started pre-school in September - absolutly loves it - no problems at all BUT she is very tired and I am waking her up every morning. She currently goes to bed at 7.15 to 7.30 ish and ideally I would like to bring this back to 6.30.
Should I bring forward her routine and just "do" it OR
Should I bring her bedtime back 10/15 mins every night??
Wouldl love to hear anyone elses experiences
Thanks

We are fairly hot on routine here, and used to worry about shifting routines gently too. But when I realised that I don't bother shifting when the clocks go back/forwards, I realised that they children don't notice a shift of an hour here or there.

If your dd isn't particularly sensitive to her schedule being mucked about, then you might as well do it in one go. If she is, or if you would find it a strain, then do it in 20m increments over several days. You may find that you need to change her supper-time, for example, or do things in a different order because of having an hour less between supper and bed.

Or maybe not bother changing her bed time, but giving her 45m nap when she comes home?

if you think she's on her knees by 6.30 as it is, i'd just do it. but if a bit of engineering is in order, i'm a fan of the 15-min thing also.
we moved dd's 'lunchtime' nap from 1 back to 11 by doing it incrementally, in 15-min installments, over a week or so. she's just 3.

When ds1 started school and started to get tired we brought his bedtime back gradually. He absolutely needs his usual routine though so we just do what we used to do but start it earlier IYSWIM.

Thanks Guys - she is on her knees by 6.30 - I will follow gut instinct and just do it!!

Codswallop - she thinks it is "the middle of the night" at 4pm
