Co-sleepers - bed guard?

OK, OK, so those of you who all smiled knowingly when I said DH and I weren't up for co-sleeping, you were right (Aitch?!) and we have been for ages now ...

LO has been such a sleep nightmare that it's been the only way fr me to get any rest. And he's a big chunk now, less likely to get mushed.

At the moment he sleeps up between my pillow and the bedside cabinet but he's getting big and I'm thinking of a bed guard. But these Tomy ones look like they won't fir out bed because the mattress is soro of recessed into the frame if that makes sense. Any other makes to suggest?

Sorry - one-handed typing with howling baby (it's that time I'm afraid).

Tomy ones or babydan ones will fit in a recessed mattress, but won't fold down!!

Babydan portable one should be OK but, as Cas73 says, won't fold down if your mattress is recessed into frame.

Thanls folks. can't get mattress on floor really but have pillows there in case he falls but also worry wouldn't hear the thud and rescue him pre-suffocation!

not a problem if they don't fold as long as they fit.
