Help

I have a couple of 2.5 tog sleeping bags for my dd. So far have not used but as she has started to kick off her blankets want to use them. However are they ok to use at this time of year or do I need a smaller tog rating? Don't want dd to overheat. Can I use these if she just wears a vest?

I've had a look at my 2.5 tog bags and it says they are suitable all year round except really hot weather. I did invest in a 1.0 tog bag at the beginning of June but unfortunately haven't had the weather to use it yet!!!
Also bear in mind how hot or cold your little ones room gets during the night. At the moment I've been putting my daughter in a bodysuit and 2.5 tog bag and she seems to be just fine!

Depends on your room temp but I would say 2.5 tog may well be too warm for this time of year - my DS has been in a 1 tog bag since about April, and has a 0.5 tog bag for really hot nights (24 degrees or over). But then he is quite a warm baby and doesn't like to be overdressed.

I've got the opposite problem to MB - I've got both a 2.5 tog and a 1.0 tog but on the couple of occasions I've put her in the 1.0 tog she's woken up cold! I try and adjust how many layers she's got on underneath instead if I think it's too warm for her so a vest should be fine

Thanks for your help. Room temp is usually between 18-22 degrees C so will try a long sleeved vest or bodysuit and see how we go.
