desperate for unbroken nights

My dd 1yrs old has never slept through, but at good times does the 11pm to 4am slot, which is at least life saving. The last three weeks its almost every 2 hrs.
She goes back fine if I lie her down and a quick sooth but will scream if left for up to an hr. Am so tired of leving her, but have never got her out of the cot, fed her etc. so have tried to be consistent. She has always been a very variable sleeper and her ability to really scream has impressed even the health visitors! Help!

hi hilda, just a quick post to offer some symapathy and to bump your thread too.
why not join us on 'sleep is for the weak', for loads more sympathy and swaps of what 'methods' we're trying to induce our lo's to sleep. sorry i cant be of any more help atm, gotta dash. hugs
