poppy101 · 01/05/2007 13:44

My lo is now 30 months old. Last couple of days trying to cut out daytime sleep, lo own choice, but can't manage till bedtime.

Gets very excited often at weekend when dh and family is around and will often playup for me in the week.

Last week managed to get lo back to a sleep.

Recently started playgroup 2 days a week.

Gets up at 6.30am, what time should I be putting lo down for a daytime nap and if lo doesn't go what time should lo be going to bedtime sleep.

Not going off to sleep at night very easily when lo hasn't had a sleep, so ratty and so wound up. Help and advice needed please.

nap at 12.30 I'd guess given the early start?

my twins are 28 months almost - and they have 45 mins at 1pm and it is really strict - cos if they have 50 mins they take ages to settle at night - but too little and they are crabby little monsters!!
Experiment - try to hold off til 1pm if possible - and then give half hour - and see if that works.
If not - just give quiet time in bed - maybe with abook.
Bed at 7 - 7.30 - light off and quiet for 15 mins or so while they go to sleep and then should be out for the count (in theory!)
this advice is all from millpond sleep clinic book - had probs with mine but now all going well. hope this helps
