Mine climbs into our bed every night at around 2pm 😩 I don't like it but don't know how to stop her doing it.

My 'toddler' is 4..... and we share. I've given up now, I figure he will move out when he's good and ready. As such, I don't really think about it any more now I've given up the battle- I'll probably miss him when he goes!

I've usually got a 20 month old in my bed at some point. I like the morning snuggles as I work full time but I don't like the being elbowed in the boob/face...it's the only way he'll sleep sometimes though, we can be up hourly some nights and I just end up saying fuck it...Bring him in bed.
Won't last forever just till he's 5

2 year old ends up coming in with me practically every night. Love it! Love waking and seeing her tiny face next to me. Thankfully have got a king size bed as she is a massive fidget, so she doesn't wake me. I expect one year old will start doing it too, when no longer in cot and old enough to get out herself

I tried a few times when my dc were younger when they were poorly or otherwise unsettled. I hated it - who knew that such a small body could take up so much room?! When they started trying to come in our bed more regularly they got taken straight back to their own beds with a cuddle and a promise of a treat in the morning and after a couple of days of this they stopped trying. Sorry but we all need our sleep and none of us got any with them in our bed.

Mine is three and seems to be an insomniac like me unfortunately our cycles clash so last night when I was actually sleeping he was wide awake and begging to watch Mythbusters eating crackers getting him to school today was fun Hmm

My 22 month old spent 2 nights in a Moses basket and has been in with me ever since. DH sleeps on a sofa bed due to his snoring and tendency to stay up late so she has his side.

Hoping she'll want to stay a bit longer as god knows how we're going to fit both DDs plus their stuff in the second bedroom so the longer it is before I have to face that puzzle the better

4 year old ends up in with me most nights, occasionally my 5 year old, too...My 7 year old & 8 year old will sleep in with me if they're not well or have a bad dream.
Doesn't bother me, they'll stop when they're ready.

I'm finding it difficult to break the cycle. Mine will be four in January and we put him to bed fine but middle of the night 9/10 he will walk in and climb in with us. No idea how to change his habit Sad

My 5yr old gets in most nights, she has been my worst sleeper.
Its still a nightmare.

Thanks everyone Smile. Glad there are a lot of others like me then. DD 16 months gets in with us every night. I would love to stop as she is a right fidget & it constantly wakes me but i wouldnt even know where to start with this as she is very clingy with me.

2 year old DS is my bed buddy. Has been since birth. I sometimes wake up with my neck hanging off the edge of the bed but apart from that I love it. Especially in this cold weather as he keeps me warm.

Planning to sort his room/get him a proper bed in the new year.

Maybe Grin

Mine used to make their way into our bed at some point during the night. Part of me liked it, but DH and I did tend to end up balancing on the sides of the bed whilst DS starfished in the middle. DH sometimes just got out and slept on the floor beside the bed - once DS rolled over and fell on top of him without waking. DH wasn't impressed that I couldn't stop laughing.

My 3 year old sometimes climbs in next to me - not every night but probably 4/7. It's more often when she's feeling ill but usually she doesn't come in until about 5:30am. Late enough for me to have had a decent night sleep.

Yep we do and we like it (as she sleeps better!)

Yes with two year old. Just me and him. I mostly like it but sometimes think it would be lovely to get in bed and read a book then stretch out to sleep. It's kingsize but he likes to sleep on my tummy. Anyway I keep telling myself to enjoy the snuggles, it won't be forever and I'll miss it one day.
