This seems to be quite a recurrent theme having looked through this thread but I'd like some suggestions/reassurance please. DS is 5 months and ebf. He was sleeping from 20.45 for approx 5 hours, feeding, then back to sleep for approx 2 hours, feeding then sleep for another 1 or 2. This changed at 4 months which is common I know . Every night now is getting worse and worse: he was waking every couple of hours but I could feed him back to sleep but now it is sometimes taking 3 hours for him to go back down. HV and BF counsellor say to do what baby wants but articles I've read say not to have a sleep prop and needs to be asleep at 7pm. If I put him down after a feed but he's not asleep then he brings his milk back up and then needs changing - will only keep it down if awake. Do I just carry on and wait for it to pass or should I try some sleeping methods? Really don't know what to do but am desperate for sleep. Will only nap in day either in car or pram. At night is in Cot thing attached to bed

Raising the head-end of the cot may help with bringing milk up. Or a bouncy chair for daytime naps, since this raises the head.

Have you tried a dummy?

The head end is raised and he will sometimes nap in his bouncy chair. I've tried sooo many dummies at different times but he just gags and spits it out. I'll see what tonight brings.....
