Hi Everyone

I have been reading threads for a while but this is the first time i have been brave enough to post a thread of my own.

I have a ds aged 5 months and he has generally napped for a 2 plus hours since he was 6 weeks or so. Since xmas he has started to wake up and cry hysterically after about an hour/45 mins of his lunch time sleep. Very rarely he will go back to sleep but mostly he cries for ages and wont sleep. He is tired and is grumpy for the rest of the day but the nap does not work day after day.

I have given him some baby rice since yesterday at his 11am feed as he takes about 45oz of milk a day but that does not seem to have helped.

Any suggestions?

Thankyou

CGx

Hi Charmedgirl. I can't be much help really but wanted to say that I think this is quite normal (at some age or other) - I read somewhere that their sleep cycles are naturally about 45 mins. So, both mine did this actually from about 1 month old and all I could do was get to them quickly when they started to wake up (before they could wake up too much) and cuddle them or whatever they needed to get back to sleep, and then they would often (not always!) sleep for a nice long time and wake up happy. Good luck!
