he starts moaning and crying and wingeing. He doesn't start calling 'mummy' for at least 5 mins. How do i get him to wake up 'normally' and go to his door and just call 'mummy' in a nice tone until i get him? Not scream and scream

How do you know that he cries as soon as he wakes? I thought ds did until recently when I realised from some quieter murmurings that he had in fact been awake for a while before starting to cry out...

ok i dont know for definate, but im pretty sure he is just waking up. He gets straight out of bed when he wakes so id hear him banging around if he was awake and not crying iyswim. He's done it for a long long time now. also when he naps in the day he cries as soon as he opens his eyes

Does he wake up in the same 'situation' that he went to sleep in? By that I mean, if he wakes up in a dark room on his own, is that how he went to sleep. just wondering if he went to sleep with the light on, and woke up with it off he might get frightened or something.

Yeah he wakes up how he goes to sleep. He has the lights off and door shut and always has since he was born. As soon as he stops moaning and starts calling me properly i go in to say goodmorning, but i refuse to go in there whilst he is moaning. Its not distressed crying, its just tantrum like moaning and crying

ds has screamed when he has woken up nearly every day of his life. He is nearly 3. I have decided some people just don't like mornings
Sorry, no help, am I?
