Do you let baby sleep on your bed (when youre not in it...)

As our 5month old will not settle anywhere except in our arms or on our bed, we sometimes let her snooze on top of our mattress during early evening. Duvet and pillows cleared awayto edge of bed to prevent rolling off, but avoiding touching her then she has her own cellular blanket. We check on her every 15mins when doing this. Views on safety please? (once we know best place for baby is in cot but she simply won't settle!).

We do this. Big bed, video monitor, duvets rolled into buffers to prevent falling out.

Could you get a video monitor for peace of mind?
