14 weeks and still struggling

14 week old and just not happy
Since day one my little girl has been a very fussy eater. She used to dry gag and cough a lot and the doctor prescribed infant Gaviscon for suspected silent reflux.

The health visitor also suggested sma comfort milk. Now she is 14 weeks, she no longer has the Gaviscon. But she still can only take about 3 ounces every two hours! This is day and through the night.

The minute she unlatches from the bottle, she will not take it back so I will feed her until she stops naturally.

At night she never settles, constantly fidgetting and whimpering all night. I'm reaching breaking point! It's as if something is just bothering her, she can't settle the poor thing

Should she still be on the comfort milk at this age after so long?

I forgot to add that the doctor also suggested she could have a milk allergy as she was quite wheezy after every feed and still is. She was prescribed Nutrimegen which I try for a day she wouldn't take it so stop giving her it. Should I have tried longer?

If she has a milk allergy then yes, you need to try for several weeks so the old milk is out if her system (takes about 2 weeks but you might see improvement after 3 days). My DD has cmpi and when she was taken off dairy it was like night and day. Suddenly she was happy and a delight, so do persist.

Has she been checked for tongue tie?

Keep trying the Nutramigen! DD hated it at first (it does taste awful) but got used to it after a couple of bottles. It also worked wonders, she was a new baby.

I hope you get it sorted, it can be soul destroying.
