growing out of grobag & crib?

Possible stupid question alert!

Baby is almost too long for 0-6 month grobag but he's not quite 4 months yet. I know the sizes are from head circumference so they don't slip inside. Has anyone else had this and what did you do? Wondering if I can make the neck smaller or something?

His arms stick out the side of the crib as he lies spread out - does that mean he's too big for it now? There's loads of room length ways.

Does he seem comfortable in the crib or is I waking him up when his arms knock it? You can put him in a cot from any age. Mine were both in one from about 4 weeks as they didn't seem comfortable in the Moses basket. I also moved them into the next size grobag before 6 months as they were both tall babies. The neck hole seemed fine with the poppers done up. Have you tried one to see?

You can always tack a little stitch in the neck of a 6-18m grobag if you are worried.

Mine have found moses baskets / cribs / crarycots too small even from birth and have gone straight into a full sized cot at night (bouncy chair for daytime sleeps next to me until 6 months). As PP says, the main thing is if being restricted in the basket is waking baby up. If not, some babies like to be cosy as so don't mind. If it is waking baby then he may want more space now.

Thank you! Yes I was wondering f the bars were waking him up, clutching desperately at straws as we stayed n a hotel and he slept better than normal, on one night at least, in the big travel cot. Will give it a go tonight! We bought a Crib off eBay and got a cot, travel cot and Moses free from friends/family so I have every option to try, ha!

I've ordered the next size up grobag, hopefully it will come today. I think it's winding him up where there's not enough room for his legs!

Anticipating incredible nights sleep once he is in bigger grobag and cot habloodyha

I had the same problem with gro bags but managed to get some 6-12 month sleeping bags from supermarkets which are longer but a smaller head hole
