Sleep

Toddler- has anyone gone with a late second nap and late bedtime?

My 14 month old is in nursery full time 815-1745. Ordinarily she naps for about 90mins 12.30-2, with bedtime about 730pm, getting up at 6-630am. She is usually exhausted in the evenings, and by the time we get home after nursery (6-6.15) she is only able for a quick supper, bath, story and bed. The last week she has been militantly refusing bed and becoming an overtired mess before finally dropping off at 9-930pm. Yesterday she fell asleep in her buggy on the walk home and slept from 530-630pm. She was in great form waking up and ate with us, played and had her bath and story at 8.30pm, and then slept from 915pm-715am. She got roughly the same amount of sleep, and was much happier in the evening. We really enjoyed the chance to play with her during the week. Longer term does this seem like a reasonable routine?

If it works its sounds fine but at that age I'm surprised nursery aren't putting her down for two naps in the day. My place moaned non stop when we dropped to one nap at one yr old.
If we are going to be out late I let mine have a 20min snooze in the afternoon to see him through an extra hour and it works fine.
