Sleep

Preventing rolling at night.

To cut a very long story short my nights are currently horrendous with DS and I think a huge part of these issues is that he can roll onto his front but not roll back so he wakes up constantly and cries when he realises he's stuck.

Done people have suggested I make a nest to keep him on his back - does anyone else do this?

Or any other tips?

I'm desperate. I didn't get to sleep until 5am this morning and I can't do it anymore.

I don't have an experience sorry Writer but other than the nest idea I've heard of using a longer growbag and tucking it under the end of the matress or if using blankets tucking them in tighter to stop them rolling.

Having read some of your other posts I'm sorry your having such a bad time with sleep at the moment. Hoping this bad phase passes for you soon Flowers

hi writer, we rolled up blankets under the sheet to stop her rolling. can he roll the other way yet in the day? the compulsive rolling/crying thing happened for about a week before she realised a) she could now roll back and b) she likes sleeping on her tummy anyway

We had this problem and solved it by using a huge very thin swaddle blanket to tuck her in. She sleeps in a gro bag and we tuck her in with the swaddle cloth (tucked in to each side of the mattress) over that. She hated being tucked in at first but we persisted and after one night she was used to it and doesn't roll any more. Hope that helps
